The Clinical Trials Unit at UVA is a full-service unit intended to provide many centralized services, including training and education, to assist and strengthen clinical researchers as they facilitate and execute high-quality human subject research.

Training
Clinical Research Staff should complete the Human Subjects Research Protection and Good Clinical Practices training modules through CITI.
Additionally, there are Basic and Advanced Clinical Research Coordinator training modules available.
The CTU has several in-person training sessions available for new clinical research staff, clinical researcher coordinators, research assistants, and other clinical research professionals.
